I have been deeply affected by the news of Birdie's passing. What an amazing human being! There was no one quite like her. She was a counselor of mine, one of the best. She just radiated hope and joy. She encouraged me in many ways and I at least partially credit her for my being able to go from someone who could barely take care of myself to someone who took care of my parents, finally got married at 39 years old, and now have a child! Hers was a life well-lived, a model to be aspired to. Thank you, sweet Birdie, for all you have done, and one thing I know - yes, God loves you!
