Dear Waugh family, I just discovered today Lillian’s passing. I am heartbroken to learn the news. Lillian was a mentor and friend to me at WVU from 1993-1999. She even attended my wedding. I have such fond memories of her...our countless lunches, our long talks, her continuous encouragement and steadfast belief in me as a person and my academic and activist work. Lillian touched many lives and was a true role model for so many women. I pray you find comfort in knowing how truly blessed I feel to have spent time with her. She will be deeply missed.
