I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I am even sadder that I am just now seeing this. It was a joy to work with your mom one summer at the board of education, and many times at the Neighborhood House. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers

Mrs. Alice was and always will be a major role model for me. I had the honor of meeting Mrs. Alice as a young girl both going to school and living in the Brookhaven area. She taught me many things during our times together working on the Meal's on Wheels program and during Decker's Creek Valley Day's many Moon's ago. Her Ginger Bread Man Cookies, were the talk of October's Trick or Treat time for many years of my childhood and my children's too. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. May you Rest in Peace Mrs. Alice.

I had the privilege of meeting Alice a few years ago at Sundale where i work, and I became deeply attached and seemed to have a close bond with her. I held her when she needed to be held, visited her as often as I could, I loved her expressions she made.. always seemed to like complements . I treated her like a mother.. and I loved her dearly.. she was so funny at times and so serious as well... such a beautiful smile... there will never be anyone that could take her place, my love and prayers to her family.
