Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Rumer
Elizabeth Ann Rumer, 78, formerly of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at The Homestead at Gentle Brook in Hartville, Ohio.
She was born in Morgantown, on July 24, 1940, the daughter of the late Walter Robert Rumer and Lola Marie (Kuykendall) Rumer.
Elizabeth worked over 30 years at the Hostess Bakery as a clerk in Morgantown. Elizabeth loved spending time with her family. The past year at "The Homestead", she enjoyed telling her ornery stories. She also thoroughly enjoyed summer vacations on the beach, along with many bus trips to casinos.
She is survived by her loving companion, Elwood Carver; three nieces and their spouses: Kim (Paul) Dudley, Kathy (Byron) Alloway, Kristy (Jack) Rumer along with several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded by her brother and sister-in-law, Walter (Joan) Rumer and her sister, Judith Rumer.
A big shout out to all the wellness assistants at "The Homestead" and special thanks to Great Lake Hospice for all their special care.

Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV, on Saturday, November 3, 2018, from 1 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 3 p.m. with Pastor Brian Kiehl officiating.
Inurnment will follow at a later date at Bethel Cemetery in Maidsville, WV.
