Obituary of Pamela Sue King
Pamela Sue King, 68 of Morgantown, completed her journey in the presence of her family at her home in Morgantown on Sunday, November 4, 2018. She was born September 8, 1950 in Braxton County, WV, a daughter of the late James and Goldie (Cowger) Moats.
She was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Morgantown where she served as a Deaconess for many years. She worked as a certified medical assistant in both the Morgantown and Charleston areas for many years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Allen King; sons, Ronald Allen King and his wife Hope and David Leslie King; grandchildren, Faith Renee King, Gwenyverre Victoria King, and Leslie Jackson "L.J" King, II; and siblings, Earl Moats, Cleveland, OH, James Moats and his wife Anita, Thomasville, NC, Gary Moats and Barbara Westfall, Sutton, WV; Jean Bright, Sutton, WV, Louise Snyder, Wadsworth, OH.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a son, Richard Allen "Richie" King, Jr.; and siblings, Arnie Moats, Paul Moats, Olen Moats and Sylvia Moats.
Pam (Sue) was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother (Mimi), daughter, sister, sister in law, and aunt to her very blessed family. She loved her Church Family and Special Bible Study Group "Finishing Strong" who were so supportive throughout her journey with cancer. Most of all she was a faithful servant of the Lord who desired to see His Name glorified through the blessed life she so enjoyed living here on earth. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her but we rejoice in her homecoming with the Lord.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home on Wednesday November 7, 2018 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Morgantown Christian & Missionary Alliance Church (CMA) on Thursday November 8, 2018 from 10:00am until the time of the service at noon with Pastor Doug Miller officiating. Visitation for friends and family in Braxton County will take place at the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 10:00am until the time of the service at 11:00am. with Rev. John McQuain and Pastor Doug Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Kniceley McCray Cemetery in Braxton County.
