I am soooo sorry to hear of Dave passing away.. I remember when he was born and we lived down road from Uncle Onley and Aunt Edna.. Cousins and we all grew up together although he was so much younger I only remember him as the baby.. My heart is so with the May family his wife and his children and all the people that loved him so much.. The video that was shared was wonderful and a tribute to his life n younger years.. cherish the memories!! R I P Dave..
Onley was a wonderful man and I will miss him. He always did what ever he could to help anyone. When my sister got so sick he waited on her hand and foot.I am so glad that he found Martha to love. I do believe that is the only thing that kept him going. Rest easy now Onley.
Dad,this is so hard to write,but not hard to feel,i have adored you my whole life,admired you ,loved you,You were larger than life,not just for singing and playing music,but being you my dad,my heart will hurt for along time,but knowing i will see you again,brings me SOME peace,i wish i could hug and say i love you dad may one last time,but dad now you truley know my heart for now you are with GOD,I LOVE AND WILL MISS YOU THE REST OF MY DAYS,YOUR LOVING SON SCOTT.

I loved Dave like no other. He was my uncle, my brother, my hero always. He was a light in my life. I know I learned my love of people from him. I was always proud when people said I looked, acted, or laughed like him. One awesome day in my life was when he was playing his guitar at Mom's house and I got to sing with him. He was surprised to know I could carry a tune and even harmonize with him. He was always my favorite singer, my favorite person, no one understands how much he meant to me. He was with me from day1. He was a little bit of everything in my life. He was my very special hero, and always will be.
