Obituary of Emily Joy Baird
Emily Joy Baird, 28, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, May 21st at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born May 30, 1990, in Rifton, NY, a daughter of Edmund Harold Baird, Sr. and Julia (Manning) Baird.
She was a member of Suncrest United Methodist Church and was formerly employed at Suncrest Early Learning Center. Emily was a mom who loved her son more than life itself. She lived every day as hard as she could.
Her joy and excitement radiated from her and lit up every room she entered. Her generosity of heart and spirit touched the many people life put in her path. She loved nurturing children and had an outstanding work ethic. At her healthiest, she loved to hike, have picnics and be outdoors. She loved the beach and swam the waves with passion. Even as her illness took hold, she still loved to be outside and soak up the sun. Emily loved the holidays particularly Christmas. Anyone who knows her knows that by July, she was already thinking about when to put up the tree! Emily was loved by many and will always be remembered by how she lived life to the fullest and fought to give it everything she had.
In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her fiancé Tremayne Curtis Brown; son, Tremayne Aleksandar Bay Brown; siblings, Edmund, Jr., Elyse, Jonathan, Meghan, Amanda, Darrell, and Danielle; and mother in law, Teresa Shuler. She is also survived by many, many friends that she dearly loved.
The family would like to thank Suncrest United Methodist Church for their love and prayers, Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, #TeamEmily, and Keri from Ruby Memorial MICU SW Tower for making her last days comfortable.
