Some of our fondest memories of Marianne is when she would come to Florida for the holidays and we all got to spend the holidays together with all her children and grandchildren.

Kitty DeBarr and her family would like to extend their deepest sympathy to the family of Marianne Straface. Marianne and Kitty shared many wonderful experiences together during a beautiful 60+ years as best friends. Both arrived in the US from Germany as young adults, forging new lives here. The courage that was required to emigrate to the US as the only members of their immediate families is commendable. Both maintained a long friendship with the German community in Morgantown. Marianne will be dearly missed by the entire DeBarr family. Rest In Peace, Marianne - you earned it..........
