I was a fellow worker with Eleanor for 35 1/2 of her 43 years at WVU Libraries. Although we worked in different departments, she alway took an interest in how my, and others’, families were doing. She was a repository of anecdotes about persons and events at the library going back decades. I miss the twinkle in her eye, her smile, and laugh reserved for lunch room and grocery store encounters. Reading her obituary, it’s good to know she had such loving support from an extensive family, and friends. I’ll always think of Eleanor with fondness.

I also knew Lou from MORGANTOWN First Church of the Nazarene. She was faithful in her attendance, giving and prayers. She never missed an opportunity to ask for prayer for a friend or loved one. I talked with her in April and we exchanged prayer requests. She personified a child of the King. Fly high Lou. Condolences to her loved ones

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. I attended Morgantown First Church of the Nazarene while in college and after for several years. Lou was always a steady presence. I always admired her kindness, sincerity, and her sense of humor. I saw her at the end of 2019 and she shared a prayer request for a family member. She loved deeply and devotedly. I was blessed to know her.

I first met Eleanor in 1979. I was just a girl coming to work at WVU libraries. Eleanor was happy to show me the ropes. She was always the picture of a true Christian lady. She showed kindness and integrity to everyone. Over the years, she mentored probably hundreds of student workers. I never heard any of them say anything against her. Even in her retirement, Eleanor kept in touch with me. I will never attend another credit union luncheon without thinking of her. She is a very special person. I know that God has a beautiful mansion waiting for her.
John 14:1-5
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
