John Emory "Link" Cutlip, 77, of Brookhaven, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 15, 2020. He was born in Baltimore, MD, on September 25, 1942. He was married March 10, 1962 to wife, Patricia, and they have been married for 58 years. He is the son of the late Baily L. John retired from Davis Lynch Glass Factory in Star City on June 1993 with 22 years of service. He held the position of "blocker" and was known for his excellent skill of working 'crystal glass'. John attended Sabraton Jr. High School and in the 60's, he worked various construction jobs as laborer and machine operator before starting his final job at the Glass Factory. John was famously known by all for his "1987 Black Monte Carlo", which he would not be caught driving in the rain. John loved his family and all the holiday gatherings and good food. He especially became very fond of his grandchildren and great grandchildren when they came to visit. He had lots of good memories of places they went and things they did together. John is survived by his wife, Patricia Mae (Shahan) Cutlip of Morgantown; a daughter, Teresa (Cutlip) Delaney of Morgantown, two grandchildren, Garrett Thomas Delaney and wife, Jessie, of Independence, WV, Loren Ashley Delaney of Morgantown, WV; two great grandsons, Camden James Leach and Eli Thomas Delaney; one sister, Lillian Jeanette Rosier and spouse, Leonard, as well as many nephews and nieces.
