Dear Pam and Family,
You have my sympathy and prayers. I have fond memories of your father. During my years in the Legislature and while campaigning, I had the benefit of his counsel and advice. To be sure, he was honest and "to-the-point" -- the way I like. It is also fun to reflect back on our childrens' "St. Francis School days" to remember how deeply involved he was with the School. And, lots of fun was had when he was the emcee at the various major social events. He will be missed.

ED Cyphert was one of the most generous and kind men I ever knew. Several years ago he was my sponsor during my RCIA studies at St. Luke's Catholic Church. It was a privilege of mine to have had such a devout knowledgeable catholic at my side. We shared many good times together as we talked about our work, sports and most importantly, our families. Ed will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
My heat felt condolences and prayers to the entire Cyphert family.

We were so sadden to hear of Ed’s passing. We will miss seeing him in his usual seat at 8:00 AM Mass on Sundays. He always greeted us on our arrival and it brought a smile to our faces to see him joined by his family and to see the little ones run over to him after Mass was ended. It just won’t be the same. Our prayers and condolences go out to the Cyphert family. May our Lord Jesus Christ encircle you with His love and comfort you in your sorrow.

Our heartfelt condolences as your family celebrates the life of a beautiful man. His work on earth is through - and you know he dances again with your Mom in his arms. They're preparing a place for us when we one day are reunited with them. May God grace you with blessings of comfort and strength during this very difficult time and know that you have so many friends and family praying for you.
Marc, June and the Sherman Family.

I was privileged to have met Ed through my employer Consolidation Coal Company. He was such a sweet man. It breaks my heart to hear of his passing although I’m not surprised that he passed so quickly after the love of his life, Patty, passed. He was heartbroken for sure and now he is reunited with her after only 3 short months. May he rest in peace. Love you Ed.

To the entire Cyphert familly:
Though Rick and I have not seen your family in many, many years, we have extremely fond memories of all the time spent with all of you over the 13 years we lived in Morgantown.
Your parents were two of the kindest and most loving people we have ever met. It was always a pleasure to serve with them at St. Luke's. Your family always set such a wonderful example for all of us.
Our love and God's blessings be with you all!

Eddie and family....I am so sorry to read of your dad's passing. I have many fond memories of him during my career with Consol and working with him during that time. He was always friendly and smiling. My most recent visit with him was on the Deckers Creek Rail Trail. He will be missed by all who knew him. I'm sure he is flying high with the angels and reunited with all his loved ones. Prayers for you and your family. Hold onto the Hope that you will all meet again where there will be no more pain and no more sorrow.

Dear Cyphert Family,
I thought I’d share this with you: Your father’s vehicle ended up in our driveway when he wrecked. My husband and I were the first ones there, and my husband broke the window to get in. Your father was unconscious and my husband could not find a pulse. But I just want you to know that I was there praying—praying, praying, praying—for him. I asked God to be with him and help him with whatever was supposed to happen at that moment, whether it be to stay here with us for a while longer, or to move on to his next life.
The ambulance got here very, very quickly, and they administered aid to him. I don’t know if he was still alive when he left our driveway, but I hope it brings you just a little bit of comfort to know that I was praying to God for him while he was here.
I read his obituary. He sounds like a wonderful man! That big smile is surely even bigger now that he’s reunited with your mom! My heart goes out to all of you. I lost both of my parents 8 months apart. I can’t imagine just 3 months apart. His heart must have just missed her too much.
I’ll be thinking of you. Take good care of each other.
Lovingly,
Bobbi Greathouse

JoAnn, Pam, Donna, Lori, Ed and families, I am so very sorry to hear of your father’s passing. He ( both of your parents) were so very sweet and kind. I remember my senior year in HS., when I went to London England with a group to play basketball he gave a very generous donation to me and the other UHS athlete’s to help support that trip. He always was so kind and had encouraging words ( of basketball) when I would see him with my Uncle Joe at Granville lunch in the mornings before school. Even though you girls played basketball at St.Francis and we were cross town rivals. May your dad Rest In Peace and May all of you remember happier times. I will be praying for comfort.
