I was so sad to hear of Lamar's passing. I worked with him for years at JT's. He was so fun to be around. We all loved him. He had such a great peaceful spirit.
My young son and I once had the chicken pox during a snowstorm and couldn't get out. Lamar went out in the snow looking for anything open and then walked it to us so we would have food. He was so kind that way. To his family, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Lamar was always such a pleasure to be around. His gentle personality and that smile! When I heard the news I was overcome by grief. Now when I want to say high I will look up because I know God has a special place for him in heaven. I never heard of Buttons, but if we did that nickname would have stuck. To his him family my condolences. Lamar will be missed.

So deeply sorry to hear of Lamar’s passing. He was so much fun to be around and a gifted athlete, always kept us laughing. I remember back in school in a very crowded Spanish class Lamar had a boil on his arm, he kept picking at it until it popped open sending everyone scrambling from him, some didn’t see the humor but that was classic Lamar
We will miss you

Lamar will be missed he was the life of party for all of the young he always kept them on the run. They loved his entertainment of teasing them so. We loved his cooking he could handle the grill . His beautiful smile and expressions showed he cared . I will miss our conversations we did have quite of few we always ended with I love you. Aunt Darlene.

Lamar was such a great man. I have so many wonderful memories of him. He was the greatest natural athlete I’ve ever been around, and he was one of the kindest people on the planet. He was so humble and genuine. I’m grateful to have shared part of his life; he will be greatly missed.

This news is so sad for me to hear. Lamar was one of my closest friends and my partner at inside linebacker in highschool. He was a fierce competitor but the softest spoken most kind person on and off the field. I don’t remember a time when he wasn’t smiling. You will be missed my friend

This is such sad news to have lost such a soft spoken and good hearted man. I knew LaMar in high school, and remember him always having a quiet way about him. He was quick witted and intelligent, but wasn’t mean spirited in the slightest. He enjoyed making everyone laugh and genuinely loved seeing people smile. I honestly don’t remember a single person not liking him. As an athlete, he was extremely gifted and did things that left you wondering, “How’d he even do that?” You will be missed, friend.

Lamar was a great guy and a wonderful friend. Have many wonderful memories of Lamar not just from playing sports together but just talking and hanging with him. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. Though I hadn't seen or spoken to him in years I value my memories and times we spent together. Truly a great guy and a better human, the world will be less bright without his enthusiasm for living. A great teammate and a better person. Love and prayers to his family and friends. Trojan Nation lost a great one with his passing

Lamar, its been years since I've seen you but when I did.. you never changed.
I'll always remember that little grin and definitely your smile. You could light up a room.
First I heard the nickname of Button Eye.
Back in high school we gave you the nickname TWILIGHT. ..
You've given me a lifetime of memories- your Trojan Nation family will never forget you.
Rest Easy TWILIGHT. Love you Brother

Lamar was one of my best friends in High School. I played Football and baseball with Lamar and had a blast being his teammate. The hardest I ever been hit in football was from Lamar in practice. After I figured out where I was at after the hit, there was Lamar laughing. After High School, we all went our seperate ways but whenever I would run in to Lamar, we were still the good friends that we were back in High School. Lamar would alway's asked how I was doing and asked how my Mom and Dad were. Lamar loved my Mother's spaghetti. I'v been thinking a lot about Lamar since I heard he passed and some of the crazy things he would do in High School Lol. I'll miss seing you, your friend Doug Montague
