Every Christmas I think of Mrs. Lester because I can remember her reading the Polar Express to my class at North Elementary. I can point to her for my love of reading. What a wonderful librarian she was all those years and I'll continue to think of her as the years go on.

Mrs. Lester was my school librarian when I was in elementary school, and recommended me many wonderful books to read. She doted on those of us with a love of books and reading, and I'm forever grateful to her for helping to foster my love of the printed word. I am thankful for all her many years of service to former school kids like me! Best wishes and prayers to her family and friends.

Mrs. Lester’s son and I stayed at her condo a few years back for a WVU TCU game. Great hospitality highlighted by great breakfasts to soothe the hangovers. She berated me every time I tried to clean up or help with the laundry. She was a hoot and had me laughing all weekend. What a loss!
