Martin became a role model for me in my early teenage years. He was a kind, reflective, God-fearing man. He loved God, his family and his country. He is a shining example of America's Greatest Generation. He bore the many challenges life threw at him with dignity and grace. I will miss him. I am glad that I knew him. Rest in peace, Martin. May God show you his mercy, and bring consolation to your family.

The world was a better place when Martin was with us. I lost track of him but never forgot about this kind and generous man. He provided an unskilled but eager young man several opportunities that I never forgot. Because of his generosity, I tried to pay back the favors by extending opportunities to others during my career. He was a great role model.
