Chrystal Lynn Louden, 60, of Morgantown, WV, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021, peacefully at her home. She was born in Keyser, WV on March 11, 1961, to Paul Richard (Rick) and Josephine Nealis. Chrystal graduated from Bruce High School in 1979 and was accepted into the nursing program at Garrett Community College. Chrystal was strong, courageous, and the kindest woman to ever walk this earth and we were all blessed to have her in our family. She was a wonderfully loving person who gave her all to her family and everyone she knew. Chrystal was also brilliant, creative and could make people laugh even when they did not think they could. She could do anything if she put her mind to it and instilled that same belief in others. Chrystal had a passion for life, she loved her family like no other. She would help anyone and believed that family was number one. She loved her family and protected them fiercely. There was nothing she would not do for them. Chrystal would move mountains if she believed that would make others happy. She gave her whole heart and soul to those she loved; love had no limits for her. Chrystal volunteered much of her time to the community by being a Girl Scout Leader in southern Garrett County Maryland. She was the leader to the largest groups of Brownies and Girl Scouts. Chrystal believed that the future was in the hands of the children, and she was dedicated to helping them be the best they could be. She was also a protector of animals. Chrystal believed that all animals were God’s creatures and deserved the best life she could provide for them. Chrystal is survived by her husband Barry Louden, Morgantown WV, and her children Hope Casey and husband Adam Casey, South Carolina, Brandon Louden and girlfriend Kassi Elza, Morgantown, WV, and Aaron Louden and wife Jennifer Louden, Bruceton Mills, WV. She is also survived by her mother Josephine Nealis, sister Paula Ahmuty and husband Doug Ahmuty, sister Sue Williams and husband Doug Williams along with daughter Mercedes Shook, and brother Eddie Nealis and wife Tina Nealis. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Gabrielle Baker, Rowan Casey, Sofia Louden, and Dominic Koontz along with many loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Chrystal was preceded in death by her father Paul Richard Nealis in 1991. Memorial donations may be made to Morgantown Feral and Stray or your local Humane Society. No funeral service or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones when a service is scheduled.
