Anytime we came to visit (when I was a kid), we came up with my parents to visit Grandma Moran. During the coarse of our vaction/visit, Dad always made sure that we made the rounds to visit ALL the Aunts and Uncles. I will never forget Uncle Bennie as visiting him, he and I were always trading fun pranks and joking and cutting up. I LOVED his wonderful sense of humor, it was also an amazing gift from God that, in my opinion, greatly added to his ministry.

Uncle Benny, it was hard to come and write on your page, for sure you are with my mom today and the celebration is great. You brought my mother to salvation and brought so many more to salvation . You always had a smile it was a warm and wonderful smile. I know the older we got we didn’t see you a lot but when we did it was special. We will miss you but only for a short time we will be together again. You hold an amazing thankful place in my heart because God chose you to bring my mom into Gods family. All my love and condolences to my aunt and cousins .

I am so sorry to have missed Pastor Moran’s funeral today. My brother led me to the Lord and I was saved on March 12, 1971. Ted Barker would take me to Faith Baptist Church when it used to be held in the community building in Westover before the first church was built. Pastor Moran baptized me in a church in Fairmont. I am so thankful to have heard his many sermons throughout the years. He and his wife Laura will always hold a special place in my heart.

I am sorry that I won't be able to attend Bennies funeral service. He was our pastor for several years. He was never a disappointment to me, but sorry to say I was to him. His kindness and patience was and will be remembered into eternity.
Thank God for his faithful service and love for the Lord.
Only eternity will show us the great difference he made in our lives.

A sad time for Morgantown indeed. I knew Pastor Moran simply as Bennie. We were friends. We got together and talked about diesel cars. He sure loved his VWs. He liked to go fast up Cheat Mountain. And we talked guns & hunting...and of course, God mostly. My dad, a WWII Marine and a great man was in failing health. I wanted to make sure that he and God were one. Pastor Moran paid my dad a 3-hour visit. They sat on the couch and talked...alone. Months later, Bennie hugged me at Hasting's Funeral Home and whispered in my ear, "don't worry he made it". Pastor Moran touched so many people in that way. We will all miss him. And don't worry, Bennie made it.

To the Bennie Moran family: Pastor Bennie will be sadly missed by a mutual high school trusting friend. I have many memories of Bennie running everywhere with a large red shirt and thinking he was flying around like "superman" He was a good friend and trusted me to help build Faith Baptist Church. I was happy to help build the great room onto his house, and I was also honored to be a part of his living legacy to build the church and proud of helping to develop the promotion of the Morgantown Christian Academy. With love, "Mr. Ed"

I am so sorry Laura and family. I am so glad it was peaceful. when I think of how much he loved and gave of himself we need more like him. He married Randy and I in 1980. Preached my dad and mom's funeral . One of the first things I remember coming to after my open heart surgery was my daughter saying "mom, mom Pastor Moran's here. And he was holding my hand. Love him and his family Carolyn Sine. Pastor tell mom and dad I am coming.
