I am very saddened to hear of Mrs. Cunningham's passing. She was a wonderful woman and would do anything to help you in any way she could. She was so full of history about her family and their workings in West Virginia. Life long supporter of everything West Virginia. I would stop by and visit her every time I came to Morgantown. She would always recollect when she and Mr. Cunningham met my parents in Syracuse at the Carrier Dome. How two couples with WVU apparel in a sea of Orange met and became friends. Her drive in life was unbelievable. She loved her cousins, family, and all her students (which she loved to tell me about) and was truly a lady. I will miss our visits and everything I did not learn from her. The last time I was there I was able to visit her uncle's home in Morgantown, Pietros castle. How she would go there in the summers because she was the oldest of the cousins, stay in the right tower and all information that has been lost over the years. Her family were the builders of most of the roadways and bridges in and around most of West Virginia especially Huntington. I sincerely appreciate all the time she spent with me and allowed me to visit with her. She was an amazing lady, I love her and I will miss her very much. My sincere condolences to all who knew her.

The family of J. P. Talerico sends condolences to the family and friends for their loss of Gloria. We are sure that she will b dearly missed. We knew Gloria from her association with University High School. My father worked there for over 30 years starting in 1948 and I met her several times as I attended there in the mid-/60’s. Please accept our sympathy and prayers for your loss.

Mrs. Cunningham was a wonderful blessing in my life. She taught me in high school, guided me in my education at WVU and was a great insightful advisor during my career in education. She was more than a teacher advisor, she and Gale were family. She will be greatly missed by her many, many students. May she Rest In Peace, now that she is with her beloved Gale once again.
