Debra Kay “Spud” Sviridenko, 65, of Morgantown, passed away at home from a heart attack on Friday, December 3, 2021. She was born in Flint, Michigan, on January 14, 1956, daughter of Margaret (Szapanos) Albertazzie and the late Paul Sviridenko. Debbie graduated from the class of 1974 of Morgantown High School. She was always known as a very congenial and happy person who loved life along with the outdoors, all that nature has to offer, camping and motorcycle riding. She was known to be a guitar player and beautiful singer. Debbie and a group of her girlfriends formed a Beaver Club and would meet at Chestnut Ridge Camp for a full weekend every summer along with meeting locally throughout the year. In addition to her mother, Debbie is survived by her significant other of 40 years, Steven Ball; a brother, William Sviridenko of Morgantown; Aunt Marjorie Szapanos of Washington State; and many cousins in the United States and Germany. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Ursula’s Food Pantry, P O Box 18, Pursglove, WV 26546 or a charity of your choice.
