Mr. Harvey was my principal at Waitman Barbe Jr High. He was a gentle person, always smiling and very understanding. I saw him at his loving wife’s funeral and he still remembered who I was after all those years. Rest In Peace Mr. Harvey.

Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Clarence Harvey. I’ve know him as a friend and inspiration for almost 55 years. I was first introduced to him by my father -the late Joe (J.P.) Talerico who knew him well and worked with him at University High School in the mid 1960’s. Dr Harvey was a great educator and mentored me as a I followed the path into education also. I only spent 39 years which is minuscule compared to the time and service that Dr Harvey did. The education profession lost a great man and a great advocate with his passing. I know I speak for many people when I say he will b sorely missed.
