Nancy. I was so sorry to hear of your moms passing. I will always cherish the times I did her hair and the conversations we had together. She was a grand lady who loved her family. Love and Prayers.

Kay was a strong advocate for her beloved Suncrest neighborhood. She regularly attended the Suncrest Neighborhood Association meetings and strongly participated in its endeavors to improve traffic issues and storm water drainage problems, especially those associated with the nearby Patteson Drive.

I remember Kay as a kind and gracious lady, hosting Christmas parties each year at the Lotspeich home for members of her husband's department. Kay's husband, Dr. Fredrick Lotspeich, was the chair of Biochemistry at Marshall University School of Medicine, and they invited us department members during the Christmas holidays each year. I remember when she won Teacher of the year in West Virginia, but remember her most of all as a kind and gracious lady.
