Like a warm sunbeam that touches every corner of our life, such was Doylene's presence. Her selfless love and kindness provided safe haven, her infectious sense of humor filled the room with laughter, and her passion for life was truly inspiring. The years of playing Rummy at the kitchen table to oldies music are cherished memories. Indeed, being accepted into the fold as a daughter rather than a daughter-in-law by such an extraordinary woman is an unequivocal blessing. She will be deeply missed but not forgotten.

Doylene, you were my heart & soul. My source of pure happiness for 21 years, I would do anything to have you back. The years we shared were the greatest years of my life, I couldn’t have asked for a better sidekick. Thank you for everything you have done for me & my family.

Hey momma I love you with all my heart. You will always be in mine and be there every step of my way through life until one day we meet again. I thank you for coming into my fathers life to sweep us into your loving arms and making all of us a part of your family. If it wasn’t for you, I don’t know where we would be. I’m going to miss your laughter, jokes, vacations, especially your home cooked meals but I will see you on the other side where we will continue our family.

Doylene, I thank you for raising Colbey to be the person he is today. I thank you for always making me feel welcomed into your family. I’ll miss your beautiful smile & your laugh as well. You were the best mom he could have ever asked for. We will never forget you and you will always be on our minds.

I love you Grammy. I’m so thankful that you were chosen as my grandma and having you and my dad be the people that brought me up was the absolute most I could’ve ever asked for. I’ll always remember all of our roadtrips and the old timer radio station you’d always have playing, looking for the goat on trips, the family gatherings, anytime you’d hit a win at the slots you’d come home with a big load of groceries, you and your contagious laugh, the surprises you’d plan, the gifts you “tried” to hide, you never letting a single penny go to waste, your love for Elvis, going to church, four wheeling, the jokes you’d make, the stories you’d tell, the food you’d make but especially your stuffed peppers, chili, pepperoni rolls, jerky and your biscuits and gravy, your apple decorations all over the house, making jerky with you, you being the person I could always call for anything at all and so many more memories that will stay with me forever. You provided thought and care into your everyday life and it’s seen by all of those who love you. You have been a huge part of my life and now I have to experience life without my Grammy.
