I was saddened to learn of the loss of your loved family member. She was such a kind and loving person and we truly appreciated her friendship and her gift of caring for children. She watched our daughter Emily from the time she was 6 weeks old until we moved away in the fall of 1990. May you be surrounded and comforted by God's presence now and in the days that follow. I am so sorry for your loss. May "the God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) comfort and soothe your heart. His promises, found in the Holy Scriptures, can offer much hope. Kris, Wayne, Storm and the entire family. You have all lost an amazing woman, but she will live on in all of you. She instilled her best into her children and they have passed that onto their children. It is a true legacy of love that she leaves you with. And while it's true that you will miss her everyday until you see her again, she will never truly be far from you, she will live on in each of you (just look into your hearts). As much as we are all hurting right now, I know deep down in my heart that you are celebrating with Jesus, Granny, Pap, Gail, & Aubrey. I bet you have already found Aunt Dorothy, Aunt Mabel, & Edith haven't you? The stories you have to tell them!! I won't lie, Mom, I am lost. I am so unsure of how I am to go on without you. I still have a lot to learn from you. Who do I call when I have a crazy recipe idea? Who will call me to tell me what the scanner is saying? I don't want to be a grown up right now. I want to be that little girl that you are making popcorn for. I love you so very much, Mom. Thank you for being the beautiful, sweet, loving Mother you were.
