Tony,I was sorry to read of your wife's death. My wife, also of 43 years, died five years ago from an unexpected brain aneurysm. She too was 64. It is very difficult at times, but the emptiness you feel now will decrease as time passes. At least that has been my experience. My son still has a lot of difficulty accepting her death. We are all different. Be sure to take care of your self. MGH grief counseling helped me. Joe Simoni is in remarried living in FL. He stopped by my house this Summer while I was away.Bill

To Professor Tomkowski and family,I am deeply sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of need. From what Professor Tomkowski has told me over just the few months I have known him, Linda was a women of grace. She was a fighter and continued to fight as hard as she could. Take care and peace knowing that she is in a place where she can no longer hurt or be sick. One day you shall see her again in all her youth and beauty as she once was. As we look upon the shoreline of a great vast ocean, we see what we once were, what we will be and those that have touched our lives. For that is the greatest gift in live. Fair wind and clam seas.

You don't know us, but we are close friends with Linda's brother Jim. We can only suppose that Linda had some of the same qualities as her brother, and with that, we can understand what a terrible loss Linda's passing must be. You folks, along with Linda have been in our prayers since Jim told us about her illness, and you all will remain in our thoughts and prayers. God bless and comfort you all. Pat and Shanly Lynskey

Dear Family,I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Tomkowski. I had her at U.H.S in 2007 for English. She was by far one of the most compassionate, knowledgeable, and animated teachers I’ve ever been acquainted with. And I must say one that truly had an impact on my life (as well as the addition of the word “truly to my vocabulary). As she loved using that word in sentence, it only expressed how sincere she was about everything in her life. Her smile was re-assuring enough to help me believe I could conquer anything. But not only was her smile assuring, she was also one who always instilled in me the “You can do it attitude. She was never negative in any aspect of her life. She never ceased to make me smile, regardless of how my day played out. I know she had an impact on many peoples’ lives, and I will never forget her laughing and exhilarated face, after lunch time with her Pepsi. She was a wonderful person to know as well as learn from. Mrs. Tomkowski taught from her principles and widespread knowledge, which ultimately led to higher educated and more mature students. She will be missed many, but now loved and cared for by God in a wonderful place called Heaven. You were so fortunate to have her presence in your life, as I know I was having her in mine. God bless your family for your loss, for she is being blessed by God right now. With love and prayers- Kyle
