Obituary of Blanche Field

Blanche Skavinsky Field, 67, of Laurel Point, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, died on August 11, 2011, peacefully in her home, surrounded by family. Blanche passed due to complications with cancer. She was born November 14, 1943 in Bethlehem, PA, a daughter of the late Andrew H. Skavinsky and the late Dorothy Helen Wolfe Skavinsky. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Frank Leslie Field of Laurel Point three brothers, Bobby, Donnie and Joseph Skavinsky, and two sisters, Carolyn McCord and Dorothy Snyder six daughters and their spouses, Donna and Lewis Willis, Sally Field, Karen and Dwayne Whipkey, Joyce and Jeff Riffle, Sara Hipp, and Blanche Field 12 grandchildren, Kayla Field, Steven, Justin, Andrew and Tiffany Tichenor, Brandon and Jaclyn Whipkey, Ashley, Madison and Amber Riffle, Skyler and Brian Hipp. In addition to her parents, Blanche was preceded in death by one brother, Andrew Skavinsky, and one sister, Diana Skavinsky. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Saturday, August 13th from 2PM to 6PM and Sunday, August 14th from 11AM until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon with Dr. Jeff B. Riffle officiating. Interment will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Westover.
