Betty, the children, grandchildren and great grandchild,We will miss Bobby for the loving person and friend that he was to all.Ihave missed that military rex man that cheered me up in the morning e mail.I will miss his asking about our grandchildren and sharing the advice and concern for them as if they were his own.If time could be turned back your brother would like the chance to have one more brother to brother chat. But, as we know that can''t happen, rest in the peace that you deserve. You were one fine family man! Barbara and Jr

I have some very happy memories of visiting Aunt Betty and Uncle Bobby's when I was growing up. I am Junior's oldest. I am so sorry for your loss, I still remember Uncle Bobby throwing the ball around! Playing outside...Time goes by so fast. Aunt Betty, Pam, Trish, Bobby, Amy and Leah and all your family, you are all in my prayers.Love Lynda

Very few people have had a profound impact on my life. Bob, you were one of them. I never heard you speak negatively of anyone. Always pointing out the positive. A true leader of both men and family. When I married your daughter you and Betty were always there for both of us at any time, and I thank you both for that. You would always go out of your way to lend a helping hand and for that I will always be grateful. You and your family have always been a special part of my life. I could never have had a better father-in-law or a friend. Bob we will think of you daily. Rest in peace my friend.

To the Edwards family,I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Edwards' passing. I was fortunate to spend a lot of time with the Edwards family. I've always considered Tricia one of my best friends growing up. And Mr. Edwards was always so gracious and friendly. He was a good man, one I always looked up to.Mr. Edwards was always so kind. I'm proud to have called him "Coach," as he was one of my Little League coaches.God bless Mr. Edwards. And God bless the Edwards family at this difficult time.Dave Kelly

Grandpa... I wish we could've been closer both in where we lived and in our relationship. You were a very respectable man and I always looked at you in a fond light. You were serious but silly at the same time. I have a lot of great memories of you. My favorite of which - and only my mom, dad and grandma really share this memory.. is what we call "the silk shirt incident." You and Grandma came down to visit us and we were going out to eat. We were all waiting in the van for you and it began raining. You stood on the porch gesturing "is it unlocked?" and my mom and grandma both were yelling for you to hurry because it was unlocked. You scurried out to the van, reached for the handle. You tried several times to open it but we didn't have it unlocked like we thought so you scurried back up onto the porch. Your freshly pressed silk shirt soaking wet. We all sat giggling at the sight of you running back and forth from the van. Your words were, "Let's just stay home and eat Spam." To this day we still talk about the silk shirt incident. Even though I didn't get to spend the time I would've liked to with you.. I love you dearly. I miss what time we could have spent together and cherish the times we did spend together. You were a good man. A man of honor, a humble man and a lovable man. But best of all - you're my grandpa. I am so thankful to have had you in my life and will miss you terribly. A great man has been taken from our family but I don't think you will ever be truly "gone." I think there's a little piece of you in all of us. I love you and I'm going to miss you. I just hope you know that I wish we could've spent more time together. I hope you will look over our family and protect us. I hope you can look over us and be proud. But mostly, I hope you're in a good place doing things that you love. I love you, I wish I didn't have to visit you like this... but I'm glad I will get to say goodbye.Grandpa, my mom loves you dearly and I hope you will comfort her any way you can this week. She's a strong woman - thanks to you - but I know she needs just a little extra strength. I love you. And I will miss you so much.
