I owe so much to Dr. Schaupp. Her support and direct contribution to my life has been invaluable to me. She was a very strong professional role model for me for the last 25 years. On top of that, she was always a true "friendly face". She touched so many people. I will never forget her.

Dear Fred,Ulrica,Fritz and Christian, Becky was one of a kind...a distinct individual with both inner and outer beauty. She was not afraid to express her views in the academic arena, but was sadly frightened by the illness that held her prisoner. I considered Becky a best friend, confidant, and will greatly miss her as I know you will. She loved her family dearly and was very proud of you, Fred, and each of the children. I only knew Rebecca very slightly, having met her once o twice. But I recall one time when she, her mother - Margaret Lopez, and a few other folks stopped by Gene's for hot dogs and a couple of quick games on the machines. Margaret introduced us and we spoke briefly. It was very evident that Margaret was very proud of her daughter, Rebecca and she had good reasons
