Deepest sympathy to the family of Antonio ' Tony" Scarcelli. For over forty years , Tony provided quality customer service utilizing his skills in barbering and my late father was among his many loyal and devoted patrons at the WVU Medical Center Barbershop until Tony's retirement from there. Not only did Tony demonstrate skilled barber techniques, but he combined those skills with ( perhaps more importantly) the gift of friendship, sharing communication with his friends/customers, insight and perspective, humor and stories from his life expereinces and living in the Osage and Morgantown communities. He shared love of his family, friends and community and that rapport with patrons kept them returning for additional sessions with Tony , not just to obtain a haircut. Through his business contacts and through associations with others, Tony endured himself into the memories and hearts of many who will miss him and long continue to remember his generosity of spirit and kindness. May his family gain comfort from retelling of stories and shared good times for they will comfort now and into the days ahead and assist in keeping Tony's memory alive in the hearst and minds of all who knew him. He was a proud father and grandfather and great grandfather . He knew what it was like to work hard and strive for attaining goals, and his drive and persistence was an example for others to emulate. Know you and your family will be in the thoughts and prayers of many- from a fellow class mate of his daughter Janet of the Morgantown High School Class of 1976. Tony instilled those same traits of friendship, hard work and devotion to family and community into each of his family members. Keeping you and all in our hearts and minds now- peace be with each of you.

I was fortunate to have met Tony when he was retiring, my sister and I were able to purchase his barber shop equipment and moved into the shop on Fayette street. He was a remarkable, kind man and took such good care of himself, I used to see him walking when I was out running, I lived in Westover then. He always had such a pleasant smile! Rest in peace, sir. God bless your family you will be surely missed.

Tony, may all the peace and joy of heaven surround you for evermore. The only problem is, you are now up there with Tom McGee, Auggie Christoph, and Bill Duff. Maybe you can find a quiet place. Thank you, Tony, for all the things you taught me in my life. You taught me to not be lazy. You taught me that if a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing right. And you taught me not to come to you for a haircut after you talked with my Dad. You're a good man, Tony! My sincere condolences to the family, and may you be cheered by the fact that you had one of the best husbands and fathers that the world could give! God Bless You!
