Teena was a counselor at Camp Garcia along with the many of us...she was a funny, kind and loving person...I remember when we ate in the Mess Hall, she would put Ketchup on Everything! she even used it on her pancakes!
We had so many good times...I will always remember her sense of humor and her love of life...I am sorry for your loss...she was a great person...

Dear Jay and family, thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Teena was a wonderful person, nurse, friend and a joy to know. Her positive attitude was remarkable. Her family was precious to her, and she loved her animals (dogs). I will always have memories of her smile and quick wit. Rest in peace dear friend. Heaven gained a beautiful angel.

Although Shari and I did not have the pleasure of knowing Teena personally, we have had the great pleasure of having Erikka as our friend. Hearing stories about Teena through Erikka revealed how extraordinary, hard working, loving and caring person Teena was as a nurse, mother, wife. Thank you Dear Lord for giving us Teena for her short time on earth. Please be there to bless, guide and lift up this family through this terrible time of loss.

I have had a lot of difficulty thinking of what to say to Jay, Erikka, Andrea and Jody to honor my beloved Teena. Here, I am borrowing from my favorite poem by Edgar Lee Masters who said: There is that silence of the sick When their eyes roam about the room. And I ask: For the depths Of what use is language? A beast of the field moans a few times When death takes its young. And we are voiceless in the presence of realities- the silence of the dying whose hand Suddenly grips yours. We cannot speak. I enjoyed Teena. It is that simple. We shared those innocent years of childhood play to the absolute full maximum. But we were able to be silent and comfortable with each other. And then the joys of sitting in rockers at Cracker Barrel after a nice meal, or in her living room or on her deck again drawing on the many recollections we both had. As adults, we played board games and cards for hours, watched television, and just visited and discussed nothing and everything. I know you will miss her terribly. I will, too. Love, Sue

So many memories of Teena are before my bleary eyes...The jokes and pranks during our tennis days, wearing our short tennis dresses and lace panties, asking passing vehicles to "honk" if they loved tennis, and painting the railings at the high school...too many to mention. So glad Teena made it back for our reunion 2 years ago-it was her 1st and she was delighted to be there and we were thrilled that she made it! A life cut short-our loss and heaven's gain! Deepest sympathies to Jay and family. ((HUGS))

Once, we were young, and what fun we had. Teena, Vickie, Susan, Kathy, Brenda, Carol Ann, David, Eric, Maria, and so many others - all buddies waiting for that magical day of high school graduation. The prom, tennis matches, wrestling matches as MatMaids, football games, homecoming float building, New Years Eve parties, and sleep-overs are all memorable events shared with Teena. We parted after high school and Facebook brought us back together. I remember the day that Teena and I had the chance to reconnect and how wonderful that chat was - learning about her family and also that she was a survivor of so many things. Then we chatted by phone, and the years fell away. She was doing great, loved her job, loved her family and was blessed. Her life was way too short, but, one lived in love and joy - my deepest sympathy to all of you.

To the Lesho and Taylor families, We knew Teena from her high school days at Weir High School. She would come to visit my grandmother with our relative Vickie Bertha. She also became friends with the Bertha families in Morgantown. Teena was always so kind and smiling. May she be at peace. Her family now has a special guardian angel watching over them. Our deepest sympathy. Melanie and Gerry Donofe, Weirton, WV

I have many fond memories of working with Teena. She was always smiling and would say "Let a smile be your umbrella". She had such a positive attitude despite all that might have been going on in her personal life. I loved to work with her in the nursery. Working with the premie grower babies was one of Teena's favorite things to do. Teena had a great sense of humor, especially when it came to "nice couples"... LOL. Teena was loved by many and will be forever missed. May you rest in peace now Teena. May God give your loved ones strength and comfort.
