Josh, Bill, and Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you during this tough time. Though I never had the pleasure to meet Candace I am sure she was an amazing woman which can be seen thru the two of you. Just know that you have many friends and loved ones that are here for you. I work with the WVUHS Purchasing Department and have worked with Bill for many years. I never met his wife but I would like to pass my condolences to the family. I lost my sister in 2011 after a 3 month battle with cancer. No matter how short or how long the battle we all give a good fight. I sent a message to my sister who I know is in heaven as your wife will be also she will watch for her and no doubt will have alot to talk about. My thoughts and prayors are with the family as they go forth down this path a hard one but you will remember her fondly & wish you could talk again but she is there listening and watching. May God be with you all.

Dear Bill and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are for you all at this time. Our lovely lady has left a mark of love for everyone she knew. I always loved to come to your home and see Candi's flowers and know that she is now seeing gardens more wondrous than here on earth. There will be such great rejoicing when you see each other again. We will surely miss her.

Was deeply saddened to learn of Candi's passing & much too soon. I will always remember when we all learned to play tennis at Jackson Park and our dads helping to build the first courts. Pam & the Shockey family.

Dear Bill, just wanted you to know how sorry I was to hear of Candi's passing. My sister in Parkersburg let me know. She was a beautiful person. We sure had some fun times together teaching at Hamilton. I taught 7th Grade Math. I was also surprised to read about Connie's passing in 2012. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I was blessed with two great teachers when I attended Hamilton Jr High School (71-74) and she was one of them. I was in 7D in 71-72 with the other bright kids. She took extra time with us, went above and beyond to help us reach our true potential. Towards that end, she sponsored Science Club and the Science Fair. She even took the Science Club to North Bend State Park at the end of the year. It was an eventful trip. I’ll never forget it, The bus broke down on the way back and She, Bill and us kids sat along the side of Route 50 for quite a while. I think about it every time I drive by Volcano Rd. I ran into Mrs Lanham two times after I graduated high school in 1977. One was in Parkersburg, and the last time was at the Seneca Home Store in Morgantown in 1988. We spoke for some time and she asked about many of my classmates. I was stunned at the detail that she remembered about us. When discussing favorite teachers at class reunions invariably her name and Linda Mckown’s are at the top the list. To Bill and the family she was special! With Deepest Condolences, Chuck Cooper

Mrs. Lanhanm was my teacher at Hamilton. She looks exactly the same as she did when she was teaching. She is one of the few teachers that I can reccall..I can remember so many of her classes but most importantly her smile. When I saw that she was only 65 I was shocked....I am 55 which means she was only roughly 23 or 24 when she was teaching me. I guess you never think about teachers being young. God bless you Mrs. Lanham...you made a wonderful impact on your students and you will be missed.

Bill & family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Candi was such a wonderful person & a very sweet & dear friend to me. We had some wonderful times growing up in Vienna. I don't have the words to convey to you just how much I will miss talking with her even if only once in a while. I pray your days ahead will be filled with the many memories that you have had with Candi & will give you reason to smile when you think of her. May God bless you and watch over you and give you peace.
