Obituary of Brenda McCartney

Brenda R. McCartney, 59, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at her residence.
Brenda was born in Harrison, AR on January 16, 1954, the daughter of the late John Shelton and the late Juanita Shelton.
Brenda was a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration and worked as an accountant for many years
Brenda especially enjoyed ATV riding with her husband, family, and friends.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend and will be missed deeply by those that loved her.
Brenda attended the Morgantown Bible Church and was so happy to be a part of "The Family of God".
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Fred McCartney, sons Travis McCartney of Arcadia, FL, Steed and wife Melanie McCartney of Tampa, FL, and Jarret McCartney of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Connor and Quinn McCartney; her father-in-law, Earl McCartney of Morgantown; sister-in-law, Joyce Turpen and husband John of Morgantown, as well as cousins, nephews, and a niece.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twenty aunts and uncles, her grandparents, and four cousins.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 19 from 7-9 PM at the Morgantown Bible Church, 1407 Brookhaven Road, and on Tuesday, August 20 from 10-12 PM the time of the services at the Morgantown Bible Church with the Pastor Jim Cooley, II officiating.
Private interment will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery.
No flowers will be accepted at the church or the McCartney home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions may be made in Brenda's name to Morgantown Bible Church, 1407 Brookhaven Road, Morgantown, WV 26508; "where God's work can be done."
