Obituary of Margaret V. Rumble

Margaret V. Rumble, 90, of Willowdale Rd., Morgantown, passed away early Saturday, October 12, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born in Albright, WV on January 21, 1923, a daughter of the late Cloyd Bishop, and the late Jessie Hinebaugh Bishop.
Survivors include her three children, Janet Rumble with whom she made her home, Bill Rumble and his wife Kathy and Tim Rumble and his wife Penny, all of Morgantown; and four grandchildren, Jessica Morgan and her husband Mark of Morgantown, Wesley Rumble and his wife Stacy of Bethel Park, PA, and Kristin Rumble and Grant Rumble both of Morgantown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, George B. "G.B." Rumble in 1981; and two brothers, Ralph and Denzil Bishop.
She moved to Morgantown at the age of three and was a proud 1942 graduate of Morgantown High School. Margaret resided in the Wiles Hill area for 65 years.
Margaret was a passionate supporter of the Morgantown High School Red and Blue Marching Band and athletics all of her life.
She was a proud policeman's wife and widow, and opened her door for many years at all hours of the day and night to Morgantown Police Officers, making sure they were always taken care of with food, or just a simple getaway. She never met a stranger and has made tens if not hundreds of baby quilts, afghans, booties and other baby items for friends, family and neighbors.
Margaret was a devoted member of the Woodland United Methodist Church in Morgantown.
Family and friends will be received at Woodland United Methodist Church, 1846 Mileground Rd., Morgantown, on Monday, October 14th from 2-8 PM and again on Tuesday, October 15th from 9 AM until the time of the funeral service at 10 AM with Pastor Edward Craft and Chaplain Craig Falkenstein officiating. Interment will follow at 12 Noon Tuesday in the Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro, PA.

The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Amedysis Hospice, the Visiting Homemakers, and all of the numerous friends, family members co-workers neighbors and church family for their assistance, love and care during Margaret's illness.
