Obituary of Joseph Dale Gaspar
Joseph Dale Gaspar, 75, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018, at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Joseph was born in Morgantown, WV, on September 5, 1942, the son of the late Joseph Gaspar and Jeannette Price Gaspar.
Joseph worked for 49 years and retired as Superintendent from Schindler Elevator Corporation after his service with the U. S. Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, coaching baseball at all levels. He loved sports in general, but his pets held a special place in his heart.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dixie Casteel Gaspar; children, Connie Jo Gaspar and Joseph Dale Gaspar, Jr., and wife, Beverly; granddaughter, Megan Gaspar; siblings Dave Gaspar and wife, Becky, Bill Gaspar and wife, Nancy, and Karen Mayfield and husband, Ron; brother in law R. J. Aronhalt, and several nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to doctors and nurses at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital Heart and Vascular Center; staff and therapists at HealthSouth MountainView Regional Rehabilitation Hospital, and Mapleshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home on Sunday, March 11th from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m., with Pastor Lonny Ferreiro officiating. Interment will take place on Tuesday, March 13th at 11 a.m. with full military funeral rites at East Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown, WV.
