I wish it were possible to be in Morgantown now to join with our other FBC family in remembering Dorothy and celebrating her life and legacy. I have so many happy memories of being together at church and in our homes. I am so sad for the difficult time she had at the end and rejoice with you that she is at peace now with those waiting for her in heaven who have welcomed her her. Your Mom and Dad were always such gracious hosts in their lovely ”country” home. They were a special couple. You are in my thoughts and prayers today and in the days ahead. May God’s peace ease your sorrow. Love, Diane Wilson

To Shelley, Sherry, Stephen and family:
Bill and I offer our deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your mother, Dorothy.
She was a wonderful lady with a beautiful contagious smile. We remember her in the
Fellowship Class at the First Baptist Church and in her home, where she always offered such warm hospitality.
May God comfort you and give you peace. She is with her husband Wilbur in the presence of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Sincerely,
Dorothy Skidmore

Dorothy and I have played bridge together for many years and we shared a love of our cats. As I reminence about all of our friends and the different settings in which we played and shared such wonderful times it is with sadness to mourn Dorothy but with great joy that she was in my world as a friend and mentor. She shared with pride the beautiful stained glass projects completed by Wilbur, her dear husband, her recipes which were traditions at her bridge luncheons and the comfort of her beloved Simon Mountain. She and I also shared the last rites of friends who shared our lives. It is with sadness that I write these words but without question we shall meet again. Dorothy was a lovely lady and your family was blessed to have her as your Mother. I shall miss her as will all of you. God Bless.
