April 2001 - Dot called me one day and invited to visit to see the Cherry Blossoms in D.C. (only one tree was in bloom). Jimmy came for a visit and we all went out for brunch. Later, Jimmy (the gentleman) insisted on giving me a ride to Virginia to meet with an old high school buddy. It was nice spending time with everyone. (Cherry Blossoms still on my bucket list.)

I'll never forget John's voice and his laugh. He and Dot would come up to our apartment in Madrid and have an after dinner drink (or two) and John always had a funny story to tell. No one could tell a joke as well as John--he always made us laugh. Dot was his "straight man."
