My deepest condolences! What an impact she had on so many students at WVU, of which I was one of them. She and Art opened their home and their hearts, sharing their faith and love, and encouraging me and so many others during those student years. For that, I will be forever grateful, and I know that she was greeted warmly into Heaven with the words "Well done, my good and faithful servant!" (Matthew 25:21).

I couldn't help but smile while I read the wonderful tribute to Arlene in her obituary. It was heartwarming and consoling. It inspired amazement and gratitude for the life accomplishments of this lovely lady. What a wonderful legacy she has in all the young lives she has touched, not least of all her sons and grandchildren. She was a blessing to Art; and he was tirelessly loving and devoted to her. I pray that God will show his compassion and mercy to her family, and grant her eternal rest.

Arlene was a very sweet lady that you fell in love with. Her kind, caring personality and love was so unique that you couldn't not like. She had a ruff life due to her health problems but she always had a smile on her face that would light up the room. She will be sadly missed. RIP Arlene, until we meet again.
