Dearest Jennifer,
We were deeply saddened to learn that your brother had passed away. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts during this difficult time. We plan to make a donation to Animal Friends of WV (a charity that is already dear to us) in his memory. Let's plan to reconnect in 2020.
With love,

Dear Shibley Family,
I am sorry for your loss. I am thinking of you and holding you all in my prayers. There are never the right words during these times. The obituary is beautiful. It was great to catch up with you Jenny, although I’m sorry for the reason. Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness- very gracious of you during your time of grief. Here is a quote from one of my favorite authors and one I keep posted in my home as a reminder of the mystery of life:
“...the Kingdom of Heaven seems to be inbreaking in our lives all the time, everyday. I think it’s here, just beside us, and if we turn our heads, we’ll enter in. The Kingdom of God is a door perpetually opening, and it makes me, as dear Emerson said, ‘glad to the brink of fear’..” -Haven Kimmel

I knew Ravi since he was a baby. I watched him grow up. He was always the sweetest person in the room. My heart aches to know he is gone. When I was teaching at the University of Alabama the Mountaineers came to town to play baseball. I went over to the practice field to see him. The moment he saw me he stood up and ran over and gave me a hug. That was a moment I will never forget and will treasure forever. Ravi never lost his sense of self and humility, even as his talent grew. He remained so special.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Shibley, Joe and Jenny,
My deepest sympathies for your loss.
Ravi and I were in school together from elementary through high school and with our last names so close in the alphabet, we were often in the same homeroom. Through all of those years and phases of life, Ravi was ALWAYS kind and gentle to all. He had a smile for everyone and surely lifted the spirits of those whose lives he touched.
I wish you peace and comfort during this painful time.
Sincerely,
Joanna Simoni

Ravi was such a great mentor to me. I remember being very young on Post 2 American Legion and Ravi was a legend. I was also a middle infielder and remember him helping me. I watched the way he loved the game and the way he respected good baseball. He was the same way toward people.
Ravi, you will be missed brother.

From the entire Talerico family, we loved you very much. You will always be a part of our family. Your athletic achievements were secondary to how you touched everyone personally. Having said that, I would give anything to see you swing a baseball bat again! God Bless. Randy T.
