It was during Allen Sharp's second term as President of the Morgantown North Rotary Club that he asked me to consider serving as President Elect. I enjoyed the challenge of stepping into his oversized shoes and learning from a master about leadership and courage. I will never forget his tremendous engagement in Rotary International as well as his commitment to his family and the local community with Star City at the center. The energy and enthusiasm he exhibited in spite of severe health challenges while enduring the loss of his dear wife Olga, was an inspiring example I will never forget,.
Be at peace and enjoy the reunion Allen. Your rest is well deserved.
A good man, taken way too soon. As my boss at BiLo and later the Town of Star City, he taught me so much, gave me lots of responsibility, and made me laugh. My condolences to all of the family, I know he will be missed.
